vista

I have seen several articles about how vista takes so much resources, has such heary drm, etcc. that many users will abandon windows and move to Linux. I doubt this will happen.

While many current pcs can not run full vista, the machines that will be manufactured in 2007 and beyon will be able to run vista quite well. Few persons would pay several hundred dollars to upgrad e win xp to vista so I don't think it really costs microsoft any sales to have put out a resource intensive operating system - all new machines will run it and within about 3 years most people will have bought a new machine and thus, in the long run it won't be a problem.

The migration to Linux will come when businesses view using linux to be to their advantage because of cost and performance. The is begining to happen now.
